Principios de este año hablamos sobre la consola portátil que Nvidia estaba planeando, la Nvidia Shield, de la cual no habíamos sabido nada en meses. El tema no resurgió sino hasta Junio cuando se dieron a conocer dos notas: una buena y una mala.
La buena fue que el precio de la consola sería rebajado de $349.99 dólares a $299.99 dólares; la mala es que su venta se demoraría hasta alguna fecha en Julio. Bueno, ya se ha confirmado cuándo comenzará a venderse la Nvidia Shield: Julio 31.
A pesar de ser una propuesta interesante, y ofrecer juego de alta calidad, existen muy pocos entusiastas. De hecho casi todo el interés que había sobre la consola se perdió cuando se dijo que la consola se retrasaría, e incluso a una semana de que comience a venderse casi nadie habla de ella.
Indudablemente es una consola que tiene potencial, pero al igual que la Ouya, son proyectos que son interesantes, pero que no pueden asegurar ventas por dos cosas: realmente no se sabe cuál será el resultado, y no existen títulos que puedan garantizar sus ventas (como lo viene haciendo Nintendo).
